It really was a lifetime ago...

Dear You,

We started out best friends.  We were a part of the "Fantastic 4".  I was the only girl in our group of friends, but it worked.  You were fun.  You made me laugh.  I loved your nerdiness.  And you truly loved me.  We would talk on the phone for hours and watch tv shows together.  We laughed at Justin Timberlake for hours.  You were a part of my family, and I was a part of yours.  We came up with crazy ideas and we'd sit and play video games for hours.  We were perfect at that time in our lives.  Nothing could separate us.  I remember the rainy day at the zoo, and the surprise party.  I remember you walking to my house in the snow storm to bring me soup and cough drops because I was sick.  I remember you making the shirt that said "Jamie Rules" and me making the opposing one.  We had the greatest friendship in history known to man.

And then, life happened.  I'm not quite exactly sure the events leading up to the downfall, but the mixup caused our demise.  We haven't spoken since.  You walked away and took all my friends with you, and left me with a big hole in my life.  One that I've tried for years to understand, but never fully will.  Occasionally I'll come across old pictures and wonder where we went wrong, but I'll always appreciate you for the time you did spend in my life.  You helped form me into who I am today, and I wouldn't change that for the life of me.  I hope your life is well, and that the place you're at in life is one of happiness.  Thank you for the memories.

Sincerely,
Me
